Policy Pathways Welcomes the 2023 Summer Academy Online Cohort

Policy Pathways, Inc., is launching our fourth annual Summer Academy for Policy Leadership and Public Service Online (SAO) on Sunday, June 25, 2023. The two-week, virtual course offers youth ages 15 - 25 early insights into public policy, public administration, and international affairs.

We will open this year’s session with a public policy forum on the topic of Environmental Justice and Resiliency in an Age of Uncertainty. Dr. Celeste Murphy Greene, author of the book by the same name, Environmental Justice and Resiliency in an Age of Uncertainty, will serve as Speaker and Moderator. Her Co-Authors, Dr. Michael A. Brown and Mr. James W. Patteson, will join her as panelists for an insightful and informative discussion on the environmental justice movement and how environmental issues impact low-income and minority communities.

Filling a unique niche that many high schools and academic institutions overlook, Policy Pathways aims to bring the knowledge, applicability, and know-how of public policy to a younger generation. The SAO prepares participants to stand out in college and career pipelines in public policy and administration while feeding their yearning for change and purpose. By the end of the course, students have the foundational skills to transfer their passions to real-world careers and institutional change.
